Daniel Byrne has chosen the classic Led Zeppelin song 'Whole Lotta Love' as the inspiration for this piece. For guitarist Jimmy Page butterflies became a bit of an obsession in the early part of his career, latterly naming a room at his famous Tower House in Kensington the ’Butterly Room’.
The typography is rendered in powder blue acrylic paint and pinned off the surface giving the sense of the text floating amongst the butterflies. The butterflies dance and flutter within and around the song title.
'Whole Lotta Love' is part of an edition of five artworks, please note that whilst the text will be the same on each artwork the composition of the butterflies will always be different so no two editions will look the same.
'Whole Lotta Love' is available to purchase through Own Art in ten monthly interest free instalments of £29.50 Click the ‘enquire’ button above for more information.
