Rebecca Herrington

Rebecca Herrington is a contemporary artist based in West Sussex, whose photorealist paintings capture the subtle beauty of the everyday. Growing up in rural Kent, her connection to her surroundings inspired her to study Fine Art Painting at Bath Spa University College, where she achieved a first-class degree.

Working primarily in oil, Rebecca has developed a technique that combines precise detail with soft blurring and blending, creating compositions influenced by the Dutch masters’ use of light and shadow. Her landscapes and still lifes often incorporate rounded forms, areas of focus and blur, and subtle play of light, reflecting her careful observation of the world around her.

Rebecca’s work invites viewers to see the familiar in a fresh way, celebrating overlooked beauty and quiet moments. Her paintings are held in private collections across the UK.
